- Plastics New (PN) announced the 2004 Processor of the Year award winner on March 1, 2005, in Phoenix, Arizona, during its 2005 Executive Forum. The award honors a plastics processor that has displayed excellence in seven areas: financial performance, quality, customer relations, employee relations, environmental record, public service efforts and technological innovation. A committee of PN editorial staffers judges the nominees primarily on their performance for the previous year, though it also considers longer-term performance.

PN began its annual Processor of the Year award in 1996. The contest is open to private or public companies and operating divisions engaged in North American plastics processing for at least five years. MPC also made it to the finalists’ circle in 2002.
